چکیده
Abstract Two different raw hydrolyzed collagens (HCs), by-products of the Tannery industry, were investigated in blends with a bioplastic, as poly(butylene succinate-co-adipate) (PBSA), for production thermoplastic items possible applications agriculture. Chemical characterization selected PBSA/HC and phytotoxicity assays on garden cress seeds ( Lepidium sativum L.), used spy species, carried out; addition, biodegradation disintegration specimens assessed under controlled composting conditions at temperature (58 25 °C). Although one HC released sodium chloride aqueous extract, all blends, up to 20 wt.% HC, resulted no-phytotoxic showed considerable amounts macro- micro- nutrients plants (mainly nitrogen). Regardless amount added, HCs enhanced rate compost 58 °C compared pure PBSA; lowering °C, expected, slightly lowered using same compost. Most tests, performed dog bone samples, corroborated results thus suggesting that plastic mixtures could reasonably end their life cycle facility without decreasing quality safety resulting The outcomes achieved encourage use collagen hydrolysates from tanning industry PBSA-based produce compostable (mulching films and/or plant pots) more sustainable uses agriculture nurseries. In these low-cost can lower cost final product give it fertilizing properties given presence organic nitrogen hydrolysates.

Toughening of biodegradable polylactide/poly(butylene succinate-co-adipate) blends via in situ reactive compatibilization.
Polylactide and poly(butylene succinate-co-adipate) (PLA/PBSA) were melt-blended in the presence of triphenyl phosphite (TPP). An increase in the torque during melt mixing was used to monitor the changes in viscosity as compatibilization of the blends occurred. Scanning electron micrographs showed not only a reduction in the dispersed-phase size with increased TPP content but also fibrillated l...

Amorphous poly(vinyl phenol) (PVPh) is introduced into poly(butylene succinate-cobutylene adipate)/poly(L-lactic acid) (PBSA/PLLA) blends via solution casting. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) analysis verifies that intermolecular hydrogen bonding formed in PBSA/PVPh/PLLA blends. The miscibility between PBSA and PLLA is improved with PVPh incorporation as evidenced by approaching ...
متن کاملVarious crystalline morphology of poly(butylene succinate-co-butylene adipate) in its miscible blends with poly(vinylidene fluoride).
Poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) and poly(butylene succinate-co-butylene adipate) (PBSA) are crystalline/crystalline polymer blends with PVDF being the high-T(m) component and PBSA being the low-T(m) component, respectively. PVDF/PBSA blends are miscible as shown by the decrease of crystallization peak temperature and melting point temperature of each component with increasing the other compone...
